Meet the Coach: How It Works

For questions around Meet The Coach feature and how it works. Parents can meet the coach as to see who they feel more comfortable with to coach their child and see which coach they like before starting with them.

After starting your Coachbit membership, you can schedule a Meet the Coach call. This short introductory video call lets you and your child meet a coach, ask questions, and ensure the fit feels right before coaching begins.

This call is not a coaching session yet.


It is a chance to get comfortable and choose the coach you want to work with.

NB: Content guidance must state that meet the coach schedule call happens after they have signed up and made payment. Gives them a chance to speak about expectations, and see if the coach would be a good fit. The parent will have the option to change their coach or meet others too.


Why the Meet the Coach Call Happens After Payment

We moved the Meet the Coach step after starting membership to make the process simpler for families.

Instead of choosing a coach, understanding plans, and making a payment all at once, you can now:

  1. Start coaching

  2. Then choose the coach that feels right

This removes pressure and lets you focus on finding the best fit for your child.


What Happens During the Call

The Meet the Coach call is a short video conversation. Parents are encouraged to attend, and students should join too.

During the call you can:
• Introduce your child
• Share goals or challenges
• Ask how coaching works
• See if your child feels comfortable with the coach

The coach will not discuss billing or subscriptions. Their role is to get to know your child and explain how they will support them.


What You MUST Do After the Call (Most Important Step)

After the call, coaching does not start automatically.

You need to select the coach in your Parent Dashboard.

This is the step many families miss.


Step-by-Step: How to Confirm Your Coach

  1. Log in to your Parent Dashboard

  2. Open the coaching setup section

  3. Select the coach you just met

  4. Follow the prompts to continue

Once you choose the coach:
• The coach is officially assigned to your child
• The first coaching session is scheduled
• Your child can be linked in the app


Final Setup for Your Child

After selecting the coach:

  1. Have your child download the Coachbit app

  2. Help them create their student account

  3. The app will connect them to the coach automatically

Your coach will then prepare for the first coaching session.


What Happens Next

Your child’s first session will be a true onboarding session where the coach:
• learns about your child’s routines
• sets initial habits
• begins building a plan
• starts regular check-ins

From there, ongoing live sessions will begin based on your schedule.


Common Issues

“We had the call but nothing happened.”
This almost always means the coach has not been selected in the Parent Dashboard.

Until you choose the coach, coaching cannot begin.
