How Coaching Works at Coachbit
Coachbit is a structured, one-on-one coaching program that helps students build routines, follow through on schoolwork, and develop real-life executive functioning skills, not just “get reminders.”
Every student is paired with their own dedicated coach who gets to know them personally and works with them consistently each week.
All coaching takes place inside the Coachbit app (iOS & Android), where students and coaches communicate using:
• Chat messages
• Voice notes
• Short video messages
• Live video sessions (depending on the plan)
The experience is designed to feel natural and supportive, closer to a mentor than a tutor.
The Two Coaching Plans
We currently offer two plans. Both include a personal coach and daily support; the main difference is the level of live interaction and accountability.
Growth Plan (Most Popular. Recommended Starting Point)
The Growth Plan includes live face-to-face coaching sessions each week.
Students meet their coach on live video for short, focused check-ins (about 15 minutes). These sessions help students:
• Plan their week
• Organize assignments
• Break down overwhelming tasks
• Stay accountable
• Build consistent routines
Parents can choose 1 to 5 live sessions per week (Monday–Friday), depending on how much support the student needs.
Between sessions, the coach continues messaging the student in the app: encouraging, reminding, and helping them follow through.
Why most families start here:
Students build trust much faster when they actually see their coach. The live interaction dramatically improves motivation and follow-through, especially for students who struggle with procrastination, ADHD, or avoidance.
Maintenance Plan (Light Support)
The Maintenance Plan is designed for students who already have routines in place and just need occasional guidance.
There are no scheduled live video sessions, but the coach still checks in regularly through:
• Messages
• Voice notes
• Short video feedback
This works best for independent students who mainly need structure and accountability, not hands-on planning.
Can We Change Plans Later?
Yes, you are never locked in.
Families can upgrade or downgrade at any time. Many students:
• Start with 3–5 sessions/week to build habits
• Then reduce to 1–2 sessions/week
• Eventually move to Maintenance once they’re independent
We adjust the level of support as the student grows.
What Happens During a Coaching Session?
Sessions are short (about 15 minutes) and highly focused.
The coach typically helps the student:
• Prioritize what to do first
• Create a simple action plan
• Break large tasks into smaller steps
• Set realistic goals for the week
This is not tutoring and not therapy, it’s practical habit-building and accountability.
What Happens Between Sessions?
Coaching continues every day inside the app.
Students receive:
• Check-ins from their coach
• Encouragement and reminders
• Help when they feel stuck
• Daily Tiny Tasks (small skill-building activities)
* Habits and content to complete within the app.
Access to all the in-app tools (creating tasks, focus timer, google calendar intergration)
These help students practice:
• Time management
• Organization
• Planning
• Self-discipline
The goal is gradual independence, not permanent dependence on coaching.
Tools Inside the App
Students also get access to tools that help them manage school and routines:
• To-do lists
• Study planning
• Focus timer
• Progress tracking
The coach actively teaches the student how to use these tools, so they learn skills they can eventually use on their own.
Why Coachbit Works
Many students don’t struggle because they lack intelligence; they struggle because they lack systems.
Coachbit gives them:
• A consistent adult mentor
• Gentle accountability
• Clear weekly structure
• Small achievable goals
Over time, students stop relying on reminders and begin managing themselves.
