Welcome to Coachbit. What Happens Next?
We are excited to welcome your child to Coachbit.
Your child has been matched with their own dedicated coach. This is a consistent mentor who will help them build routines, stay on top of schoolwork, and gradually become more independent.
Below is exactly what to expect during the first week and how coaching sessions now work.
How Coaching Sessions Work
All coaching takes place inside the Coachbit app (iOS and Android).
Your child will communicate with their coach through a combination of:
• Live video sessions
• Chat messages
• Voice notes
• Short video feedback
Live Coaching Sessions
Coachbit now uses short live video sessions as the main form of coaching.
Each live session lasts about 15 minutes and is focused and practical. The coach helps your child:
• Plan upcoming schoolwork
• Organize assignments
• Break large tasks into smaller steps
• Set clear goals
• Build routines and accountability
Families can choose the level of support that fits their child.
Students can meet their coach between 1 and 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) depending on the selected schedule plan. Many families begin with more frequent sessions and then reduce them as independence improves.
Between sessions, the coach continues to check in through the app to encourage follow through and help when the student feels stuck.
The First Week: Onboarding
The first week is designed to make your child comfortable and build a strong connection with their coach. We ease students into coaching so it does not feel intimidating or overwhelming.
1. Building the Relationship
The first priority is helping your child feel safe and comfortable with their coach. Coaches take time to learn about your child’s interests, school challenges, and personality. This relationship is one of the most important parts of the program and strongly affects motivation.
2. Learning How Coaching Works
Your child will be guided step by step through the app and shown what sessions look like. Nothing is complicated and they are not expected to know what to do on their own.
3. Creating a Simple Plan
During the first few sessions, the coach helps your child:
• Identify problem areas
• Set small achievable goals
• Create a manageable weekly plan
We intentionally start small so students experience early success quickly.
What Happens Between Sessions?
Coaching continues even when a live session is not happening.
Your child will receive check ins and encouragement through the app. Coaches help students stay accountable and follow through on what they planned.
Students also receive Daily Tiny Tasks. These are short activities that build real skills such as:
• Time management
• Organization
• Planning ahead
• Self discipline
The goal is steady progress, not pressure.
Optional Parent Introduction Call
We understand that parents often want to meet the coach as well.
You can request an optional video introduction call after your child’s first session. This gives you the opportunity to:
• Meet the coach
• Ask questions
• Share any concerns or goals
This call is separate from your child’s sessions so your child’s onboarding stays focused on them.
To request this, simply email [email protected] and we will arrange it.
Tips for a Great Start
• Encourage your child to attend the first session even if they feel unsure. Most students feel comfortable very quickly.
• Help them log in on time for the first few sessions.
• Let the coach handle motivation and accountability.
• Share anything important with the coach so they can better support your child.
Why Families Choose Coachbit
Many students struggle not because they lack ability, but because they lack structure and follow-through.
Coachbit provides:
• A consistent adult mentor
• Gentle accountability
• Clear weekly structure
• Small achievable goals
Over time students begin managing themselves instead of relying on reminders from parents.
We are excited to work with your family and help your child build confidence, independence, and lifelong habits
